The new Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directives have become law throughout the European Union. Similar laws are being introduced elsewhere. If you are importing, exporting or manufacturing electrical or electronic equipment they apply to your products. Find out more here.

The new EU RoHS and WEEE directives (32 kb)

To be sold within the EU, including the UK, your products must meet all European Union directives that apply. Only then may they be legally sold within the EU, including within the U.K. Many products are legally required to carry the CE mark. Other testing and labelling requirements apply outside the EU. We can help you to ensure that you know; which, if any tests apply, how you can obtain Certification and how you can ensure your products continue to comply.
